1. Scope and Acceptance
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Efficient Management Consulting, a California S-Corporation ("EMC", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information about you when you visit emc4la.com and any related subdomains (collectively, the "Site"), book a consultation with us, or otherwise interact with us in connection with our advisory services (the "Services").
By using the Site or our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site or submit information to us.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
We collect information you voluntarily provide, including when you:
- Book a strategy call or consultation. Our scheduling tool (provided by GoHighLevel) typically collects your name, email address, phone number, time zone, your meeting preferences, and any notes or context you supply about your business or inquiry.
- Email us directly at advisor@emc4la.com or otherwise correspond with us. We retain the contents of those communications and any attachments you send.
- Engage us under a paid scope of work. In the course of an advisory engagement, you may share business records, financial information, real estate documentation, contractor or vendor information, and other materials necessary for the engagement.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics tools may automatically collect:
- Technical information such as IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring URL, and pages viewed;
- Date and time of access, time spent on pages, and similar usage data;
- Approximate geolocation derived from your IP address.
We do not knowingly collect or process biometric identifiers, government identification numbers, financial account numbers, or precise geolocation through this Site.
2.3 Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from third parties. For example, a referral source who introduces you to us, or a public business registry. Where this occurs, we treat that information consistently with this Policy.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Schedule, prepare for, and conduct strategy calls and consultations you request;
- Respond to your inquiries and provide the Services you have engaged us to perform;
- Send transactional communications (e.g., meeting confirmations, follow-ups directly related to your inquiry, scope-of-work documents, invoices);
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our internal systems;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of this Policy or applicable law;
- Comply with our legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations, including those associated with our real estate, mortgage, and federal contracting credentials;
- Enforce our Terms of Service and protect our rights, property, and the safety of others.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not send marketing emails to people who have not requested them.
4. When We Share Information
We share information only as described below:
- Service providers and processors. We use a small number of vendors that process information on our behalf, including: GoHighLevel (CRM, scheduling, and communications), Google (calendar, email, and document tooling), Hostinger (website hosting), and our domain registrar. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and contractual obligations to use information only for the purposes for which we engage them.
- Affiliated transactions. EMC is a consulting and advisory firm. We do not originate loans or transact real estate. If you wish to pursue a brokered real estate transaction, those services are available separately through EXP Commercial under California DRE License #02177904. If you wish to pursue mortgage financing, those services are available separately through Loan Factory under NMLS #2697476. Where you ask us to introduce you to one of those affiliated entities, we will share only the information necessary to facilitate that introduction, and that entity will become an independent controller of your information under its own privacy policy.
- Professional advisors. We may share information with our attorneys, accountants, insurers, or other professional advisors when reasonably necessary, subject to confidentiality.
- Legal compliance and protection. We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is required to comply with a law, court order, subpoena, or government request; to enforce our Terms of Service; to investigate suspected fraud or wrongdoing; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of EMC, our clients, or others.
- Business transfers. If EMC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to confidentiality and to a successor's adherence to a substantially similar privacy policy.
- With your consent. We share information for any other purpose with your consent or at your direction.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Site itself uses minimal cookies. Embedded third-party features. Most notably the booking widget. May set their own cookies on your device when you interact with them. These cookies are used to operate the booking experience, remember your selections during a session, and provide basic security and abuse prevention.
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings, including blocking, deleting, or being notified before a cookie is set. Disabling cookies may impair certain functionality on the Site, including the ability to schedule a call.
We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, because there is no industry standard for how to do so. We do honor verified Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals from California residents as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we do not currently engage in either).
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, to maintain accurate business and accounting records, and to comply with our legal, tax, regulatory, and licensing obligations. Records related to advisory engagements are typically retained for the duration of the engagement plus a reasonable archival period thereafter, generally not less than the applicable statute of limitations.
7. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any account credentials confidential and for promptly notifying us of any suspected unauthorized use of your information.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal and operational retention requirements;
- Object to or restrict certain uses of your information;
- Withdraw a previously given consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

Your CCPA rights: the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, the right to limit use of sensitive personal information, the right to opt out of sale or sharing, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights. To exercise these rights, contact us per Section 14. You may designate an authorized agent in writing to act on your behalf.

If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those of your jurisdiction. By using the Site, you consent to that transfer and processing.
12. Third-Party Sites and Services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including affiliated entities such as xacquisition.com and xloanfactory.com. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Services, or applicable law. When we make a material change, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
